What’s Involved?
In these two hours, we break apart a traditional 60 min inversion-based vinyasa flow, also known as a FLY class, to help us get a much better understanding of the requirements of our body & mind to get into these shapes! This workshop partners our 60min Flow class of the same name and will include similar sections of the class as a flow before breaking down & practicing key postures & transitions so that you can learn the alignment of them in your own time before taking on the speedier version class safely and enjoy the lightness & freedom that dynamic inversions can bring!
This will be a practice of movement & workshopping – takes breaks as you need them or hit pause to go over the concepts as much as you need. We’ll be moving through fun handstand vinyasa transitions, known as Spirit Dives as well as building up to how to hold a stag handstand away from the wall. Following this, we get into the hips with some Crow practice that will lead to tripod Headstand and how one can flow to the other before learning a flowing method to exit a Headstand with style! We’ll of course warm you up & cool you down to make sure your body is ready and then fully grounded before you leave.
Suitable for those with an existing vinyasa practice – you don’t need to be able to already get into handstands & headstands but have an open mind and enthusiasm to try! Please have a non-slip yoga mat, strap/belt, 2 blocks & wall access if possible!
You will have access to this workshop for 7 days from the date of purchase
